Day two

12th June 08

It’s only the second day, but already thousands of people have come to see our garden.

Yesterday was a bit of a blur of awestruck wonder and nerves, although, obviously, I enjoyed taking in the atmosphere of the first day of BBC Gardeners’ World Live.

It feels strange on this side of the fence but everybody’s enthusiasm is so infectious. It’s always nice to get feedback but I’ve been overwhelmed by the support so far.

Sarah is beaming and, after all the hard work to set it up, I am too.

The garden is holding up really well, I love the way the water feature has turned out and its sardine design has certainly caught people’s eye!

Everybody has asked lots of questions about the sustainable elements of the garden – it’s been an absolute pleasure answering their queries, and hopefully, helping give them inspiration for their gardens, too.
