Day three

13th June 08

Walking in to the NEC this morning was a surreal experience.

Yesterday was just so busy, I had forgotten what it’s like when nobody’s here.

There’s an eerie air around the place, even with the exquisite array of colours and plants filling every available space.

Indeed, the tranquillity was a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the past two days. Obviously, the place feels so much more alive when the public have poured in, and I’m enjoying basking in the reflective glory of our garden. I’m really getting used to being here now. I feel at home.

That said, I miss my husband, my feet really hurt and I’m definitely looking forward to a break. But I know that, with only a couple of days left, I should be enjoying this as much as I can. And I am.
