Day six
June 16th 08
Today has been so sad. Having to take the garden down was like
waking from a perfect dream. Reality has suddenly hit me again.
This is it, it’s over.
After five days of beaming pride, and great feedback, it’s time
to draw a line under BBC Gardeners’ World Live 2008.
The garden itself is now in bits, the week is over and I’m
exhausted, but the cuts and bruises, sore feet and tiredness were
definitely worth it.
Sarah has been such an amazing help and I just can’t get over
how quickly the past few days have flown by.
It may be some time away yet – but I’m already thinking ahead to
next year’s event!
I say my goodbyes and thank everyone who has made this possible
– the BBC, Sarah and of course, Bradstone, who ran the competition
– and leave the NEC wondering if the lovely Monty Don might be
interested in helping me at BBC Gardeners’ World Live 2009!
