DEBBIE COOKE
Gardening is obviously in Debbie’s blood. Her father used
to grow his own vegetables, her grandfather was a garden designer
and her cousin is a landscaper who regularly wins prizes at the
Bristol and West Show.
Not one to be left out, Debbie used to spend hours as a child
getting back to nature by sifting earth through a colander!
Debbie’s horticultural style has progressed a
little since then and she is now halfway through re-doing the
garden at her home in Lincolnshire. It’s part building site
at the moment, but she has the plans, which is the main
thing. Once all the work is complete, she’s looking forward
to enjoying her contemporary cottage garden with lovely views of
the rolling countryside.
Debbie recently completed the Advance National
Certificate in Horticulture and Garden Design and was a model
student throughout, coming top of the course and winning a City
& Guilds Medal for Excellence. She is now in the process
of setting up her own garden design business and looks forward to
seeing her first design come to fruition.
