Show’s over!
16 June 08
Another one bites the dust! I’m standing in an empty garden now
the plants have been sold off (at bargain prices I might add) and I
feel like I always do at the end of a show, tired and a little bit
sad!
I don’t like the dismantling part of the shows, but I guess it
comes with the territory. I’m a creator, so seeing the work pulled
to pieces is always a little deflating.
I wish I could pick the gardens up and put them somewhere
permanent. Maybe that’s a future project?! If I feel like this,
Heather must be feeling even sadder as it is her baby.
It has been a fantastic show and the garden was so well received
by the public, who really took to the design and the thinking
behind it. I think this has been a great stepping stone for Heather
and I just hope I’ve been able to pass on some useful hints and
tips to help her career.
I’m heading home tonight and I have to say I’m really looking
forward to putting my feet up and catching up properly with the
family and the horses . . . not to mention having a look at my own
garden. I hope someone has kept on top of the weeding!
Next stop Hampton...
